Built on the industry-leading technologies of Unity Via Elite II Progressive Lenses, this new design takes innovation a huge leap forward by using virtual reality technology to capture a complete map of a patient’s gaze patterns to inform the creation of a next-level lens customization unique to the individual. No longer does the patient need to give their eyes time to adjust to lens corridors, aberrations, and visual zones. Now the patient’s near, intermediate, and distance prescriptions are where their eyes need them to be on the lens.

GAZE DYNAMICSLike walking or running, each person has a unique way of seeing that is formed during childhood and transforms over the years. Gaze dynamics is determined by the relationship between the eye and head movements that we naturally make when looking at objects in the environment. It is, in short, the mechanism we use to observe the world around us.
Historically, progressive lenses have not had the ability to consider the way a person's eyes work at various distances, forcing the patient to adapt to the lens and move within predetermined corridors. Unity Via Elite II designs optimize the corridor and minimize lateral aberrations. Unity Via Elite VR adds complete gaze dynamic data to inform the lens design even further and adjusts the corridor to align with the way the individual uses their eyes, to provide natural vision in an individually crafted lens. |
