What is Unity Relieve? |
Unity Relieve is a single vision lens designed to alleviate symptoms of digital eye
strain. The lenses provide a higher level of visual comfort for pre-presbyopic single vision wearers who spend two or more hours a day on digital devices and show symptoms of visual fatigue or digital eye strain. |
How does Unity Relieve compare to Eyezen®? |
In wearer trials, Unity Relieve was superior to Eyezen for relief of visual fatigue
symptoms,[1] rating 4 to 1 among patients with digital eye strain symptoms.[2] |

Center and any Authorized Unity Distributor. |
What Unity Relieve designs are available? |
Unity Relieve is offered in two positive power bumps.

Which Unity Relieve lens is appropriate for which patients? |
The choice of Unity Relieve design depends primarily on the severity of symptoms
Our studies indicate that relying on patient age alone does not provide optimum results when prescribing lenses for digital eye strain.

What materials is Unity Relieve available in? |
Unity Relieve is available in CR-39, Polycarbonate, Trivex, 1.60 High-Index, 1.67
High-Index, and 1.74 High-Index. |
Is TechShield® Blue recommended on Unity Relieve? |
Yes, TechShield Blue is recommended for all Unity Relieve orders except when
SunSync Light-Reactive or Polarized lenses are selected. Since blue light filtering properties are inherent in both SunSync or Polarized lenses options, TechShield Elite AR is recommended if an AR coating is desired in addition to either. |
Can Unity Relieve be ordered with enhancements other than TechShield Blue? |
Yes, Unity Relieve can be ordered with any TechShield AR Coating, SunSync Light-
Reactive Lenses or Unity Polarized Lenses. |
Which anti-reflective coating without blue-light reducing properties is recommended when SunSync or Polarized are chosen? |
TechShield Elite is recommended for best performance with SunSync Light-Reactive
Lenses or Unity Polarized Lenses. TechShield Blue is not recommended with SunSync Elite XT or SunSync Drive XT because it intentionally reduces the amount of blue (visible) light that reaches the lens, which can negatively impact lens performance. |
Are position of wear measurements required for Unity Relieve? |
Although Unity Relieve is a compensated design, POW measurements are entirely
optional. The following default values are used when POWs are not provided. Defaults:

Is there a new Lens Option code with Unity Relieve? |
Yes, TA (Technical Add-On) should be added to the single vision code when
ordering Unity Relieve. |
Is there an additional option code required for adding TechShield Blue? |
Providers should remember to select BV and QV when billing the patient to
ensure proper payment. |
Does Unity Relieve replace Unity Single Vision Lenses? |
No, Unity Relieve is an addition to the Unity Single Vision portfolio. Not every single
vision patient suffers from digital eye strain; for those who do, Unity Relieve is the ideal solution. |
How much does Unity Relieve cost? |
Pricing is determined by lab and region. Please contact your local VSPOne Technology Center or Unity enabled lab for pricing.

Are Unity Relieve orders eligible for Unity Savings? |
Yes. For Platinum-tier practices in the VSP Global® Premier Program, each order of Unity Relieve paired with a TechShield AR Coating or SunSync Light-Reactive Lens will receive Unity Savings. More details are available here.

How will Unity Relieve appear when ordering through Eyefinity®? |
Unity Relieve can be found in the alphabetical dropdown when ordering through Eyefinity. Once Single Vision Vison Type is selected, scroll to Unity and Unity Relieve will be listed alphabetically.

Is Unity Relieve covered by a satisfaction guarantee? |
Yes, all Unity Digital Lenses are covered under a satisfaction guarantee. Lenses that are abused, extremely scratched, chipped, broken, or damaged are not covered under this guarantee.
